As per the latest report on the Boxofficeindia.com, on Thursday, the film has raked in Rs 9 crore on its ninth day at the box office. The film has managed to collect a total of Rs 226.50 crore in its extended first week at the box office.
‘War’ got the benefit of the holiday period which helped the film put up such a huge figure in its first week itself. The film opened to record numbers and then saw a dip on the next two days, which was expected after a huge record on a national holiday. However, the film held very well from Monday onwards and Dussehra holiday boosted the collections over the weekdays.
‘War’ is also now the highest nett grosser for both Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff as the film beat the lifetime collections of ‘Krrish 3’ and ‘Baaghi 2’ respectively within just six days. The film is currently the third highest-grossing film of the year following ‘Kabir Singh’ and ‘Uri – The Surgical Strike’. ‘War’ seems very well on track to take the top spot on the list.
Helmed by Siddharth Anand, ‘War’ also features Vaani Kapoor and Ashutosh Rana in pivotal roles. Shot across seven countries, the plot of the film revolves around agent Khalid (played by Tiger Shroff) who is on a mission to hunt down his mentor Kabir (played by Hrithik Roshan). The film boasts of jaw-dropping action sequences and hit the screens on October 2.
